DHL has an enormous cargo hub at Leipzig Airport, so we see these giants regularly.

Of airports I know in continental Europe, at least Amsterdam (Schipol Airport) has similar runways crossing the motorway.

Coming to Paris from north, you also have to drive under the runway. I think it must be the Paris-Roissy airport (Charles de Gaulle), not Paris-Orly or Paris-Le Bourget.

That's the place (Amsterdam.) I got a little freaked seeing where the plane was about to drive over. The actual airport wasn't much better. It was freezing inside compared to outside, good job I kept hold of the blanket they give you during the flight back from California. Plus I couldn't read any of the signs, got lost and had to be directed to gate for my connecting flight home
