- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x64
- the original installed OS on the system? Win 7 Prof x64, Fresh Install
- an OEM or full retail version? Full Retail version
- What is the age of system (hardware)? 8 days
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) 8 days

Hello Experts,

I have been having this problem since today morning. It was really sudden and I don't know the cause, as I don't think I've installed anything new. My PC is getting restarted with a BSOD for NETIO.sys while I am running uTorrent. If I don't run uTorrent my PC runs smoothly without any errors.

Looking forward for any help to resolve this issue...

Hi.
Ur minidumps point to NETIO.SYS
Well as you said the crash occurs when you running utorrent.(maybe...maybe not)
So....
Step 1)For a little dont use utorrent,in meantime play a game and do things that stress ur pc and see if any bsod appears.
Step 2)Test/use a newest or oldest version of utorrent, wait for the results.
Step 3)If you have again a new bsod please obtain the latest drivers for your network card.

I noticed that you have installed a virtual clone drive, vcd some time gives bosd in win7.
For the moment do the above and please post back whatever is the result.

We (as a family) use uTorrent as a way of swapping large files. Which version of uTorrent are you using? Personally we've had nothing but grief with newer versions of uTorrent. We've stuck with the last of version 2.0.4 which runs fine on 64bit.

More importantly though:
McAfee is known to be a cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. I suggest that you uninstall McAfee using the McAfee Removal Tool . Download Microsoft Security Essentials as its replacement. Make sure your Windows firewall is enabled! Once your BSOD issues are resolved, feel free to try the latest version of McAfee.

Thanks for the prompt response Panais. I have run the Intel update utility and it seems that I am already having the latest NIC driver installed. Also I have updated my uTorrent to the latest version an hour back and after that, fortuanately the BSOD have not come back yet :).

Will observe for some more time and keep you all posted. Thanks again for your time and advice.

Oldest versions of utorrent are less buggy.
I agree with fimble
As an extra step Remove McAfee and install mse.
And please do all the above step by step and each time post back so we can see more clearly whats really cause the BSOD.

If with all the above you still have bsod, remove completely the driver of ur NC,restart, let windows to install the driver and then obtain the last driver from the windows update.
NOT from the Intel update utility.
