Numbers appended to Username - Bizarre!

Win 7 Pro x64. I've used a little app that you might know called 'IP Messenger for Win' (Open Source LAN Messenger / Chat application). It works well but with the latest version I'm getting a strange sequence of numbers appended to my Username (as per screenshot). It's not easy to get support on the product so thought I'd try here to see if someone recognises the issue and, no, it seems to have nothing to do with the 'machine name / description' - I've changed those (and back) to test. My Windows username is 'Jem' (which I've also tried changing). The rest is self explanatory - the other two users in the shot are Vista and XP. Thanks.

That would be, as far as I'm able to tell, your IP address.

Don't understand - looks absolutely nothing like my IP address.

Look up IPv6, if you're really curious. Or, try running ipconfig (hold down windows key and r key, type cmd, hit enter, and then type ipconfig /all ) and seeing if the numbers correspond to an IPv6 Address.

Nothing remotely like any IPv6 address listed by ipconfig.

Interesting. I'll have to look into this a bit further... for now, a question: Do your two friends see you as "Jem" or do they see "Jem (acdc)" ?

The latter...
