Software interface will not show on the screen

this has been an on going problem using windows 7, both software programs listed below worked fine in winXP and vista

I have a problem with 2 different software programs not showing their interfaces on the monitor screen. They both show icons in the icon tray and are running in the task manager. When I click on the icon in the icon tray I get a quick flash of the interface on the screen, but then its gone.. yet the program is still running in the tray and task manager.

Im running win7-64bit home premium, win7 is fully updated to the latest in sp1

I had a prior version of this acer computer (different chip and ddr2) and had the same type interface problems on it to, using the 2 software's listed below... neither interface will show up on the monitor screen.

I am currently outputting the display using the hdmi cable to my hdtv, but it still wont show interfaces when just using the laptop display, Ive tried that to.

I was thinking maybe its a hardware problem with the Intel graphics, but I'm just guessing there.

or maybe its a software clash of some sort with another program on my computer...
I've tried all sorts of things to try to get these interfaces to show, but still no luck,

I also have checked and have all the current drivers installed

any ideas will help

To be honest, no. Obviously something is preventing them from displaying.

Run a scan just to be sure that malware is not affecting your system;

If you have a program called Egis Tec Shredder (part of MyWinlocker suite) uninstall it.
This program causes all kinds of problems with ACER laptps.

yes this program is running on the laptop and also on my previous laptop... I will give your suggestion a try, but in loooking at the programs in the uninstall section, nothing shows for either or MyWinlocker. Looking in the start menu (All Programs) section it show, but theres no uninstall for it, so what do u think, just delete the folder from the 4 related folders from the programs files section ?

- EgisTec IPS
- EgisTec MyWinLocker
- EgisTec MyWinLockerSuite
- EgisTec Shredder

I also reviewed the files inside these 4 folders and again theres no uninstall.exe files...
plus I know these files snake through the system for this program and have many other locations to clean them, plus the regedit...

I also have the (Revo Un-Installer Pro) installed but it show nothing for Egis, MyWinLocker... Is a pre-installed program called (IdentityCard) a part of this Acer installs? If so should it be removed to

I guess its comes down to a manual un-install right?

If you uninstall MyWinlocker from Programs and Features , it should give you the choice of which programs to uninstall.

If not, uninstall MyWinlocker and on reinstall, it definitely will let you pick which components you want to install.

It is only Egis Tec Shredder that is the problem.

the problem with that is there are no icon in the programs area for either MyWinLocker or the schredder or for EgisTec... so I do not have that option..

Revo un-installer was no help, but I'm currently trying another program: Perfect UnInstaller 6.3.3.9 which seems to be doing the uninstall of the schredder

I also unInstalled etorrent v2.2 and after a restart installed their v3.0beta and now its interface will show up in the monitor. But the mediacoder still will not appear. I was thinking maybe the desktop gadget may be conflicting with it?
