Between all of the credit card companies, Sony with the Playstation Network and now facebook....it's no longer called private data...it's simply called your data.

The suggestion is to change your FB password.

The way these companies treat information, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was an purposeful 'accident'.

This is why I don't have a Facebook account. To many "accidental" security issues.

I have 4 accounts (one public, one anonymous, one private, and one backup that's deactivated until I need it) but may be deleting them all very soon. If people want to get a hold of me, they can talk to me on Skype.

@yowanvista, point taken..but you have to admit, a lot of facebook people like the games etc. that FB offer and they cannot play them or join in with things, without giving access to some of their details.....FB's to blame for that in the ever greater grab for income from advertisers...but there are also a lot of left-click merchants as well!!

The other thing FB have doe recently is to not us HTTPS as the default protocol. You now have to specifically enable it.

The simple solution is to create a "temporary" account, just like you would with your gmail, hotmail etc.

Of course, being left-clcik savvy helps, but then again is it really neccessary to have personal details on your Facebook account? The answer is no.
