EDIT : As the text is white, it appears to be merged with the background . Save it as png image, you will see the text and the logo only .

The psd file is attached (can also be opened with gimp, corel photopaint etc) which has all the transparent layers. Just remember to save your finished image as a png file before you upload it to the forums as this supports transparency

great! .thanks for your support guys.... i really appreciated it this is going to be a h3ll of training for me in PS5...i never thought PS5 and corel draw could be so much fun, i am stuck with autocad for so many years and this is new for me. if i didn't saw the gfx team works i wouldn't bother installing it.

Jamie pal ... most graphics packages are only as hard or easy as you want them to be. There are thousands of tutorials out there on the web, it just takes time and lots of practice.
Before you go spending your money on software just to create sigs and avatars why don't you try out GIMP. It's free and like I said you could follow some of the tutorials untill your comfortable with it. If you then want to develop further you could go for one of the more professional packages like Corel or PS etc.
Download the trial versions and try them out before you pick the one that suits you best.

I have finally made myself put a bit of time into learning this GFX stuff and thought I would share my first attempt.

I was fairly happy with the background and the addition of the 'Seven Forum' logo but couldn't quite get my head around how I would like the 'JDobbsy1987' text and not too happy with finished product so something to work on there
I threw the badges in for good measure

Just keep practicing and experimenting with backgrounds, borders and text.
Nick was spot on when he recommended the trial versions of Adobe and Corel Draw Suite before you plunk down hard earned cash.
Check out their free tutorials along with a bunch of them done by Nick.
Just have fun!!!

After a little more playing I'm starting to think its not just software I need to get used to but i need to get my artistic head on too :roflmao:

JD your sigs look great, keep it up! I always find the sigs are the hardest to make, so little space and ideas how to place everything the way I want! LOL the key is not to give up and keep on doing what you feel!

Jamie, I love the sigs. It doesnt look like you are a beginner and a lil' more practice would make you an expertise.

As you have said, GFXing is so much fun and when you get the applause for it, you fly into the clouds/sky.
