New rig with ready install win7 HDD

Hi all
I had a problem figuring out any possibilities that I could run my previous HDD with Win7 Ultimate. Search around BUT to no avail, could not find any.

Did so with XP to new MoBo before , but it works out pretty good, just need to install drivers and etc.

With Win7 could not find way to do that.

Helping me please, I would be damn happy then.

Mine is different scenario
Before going to bed I SD the rig as per normal procedure
Woke up in the morning my system refused to start up
Hence confirmed dead...............
So the existing OS Win7 ....HDD which I meant to use. without full installation
How do I go about

Press the F8 key repeatedly at boot up or use the Startup disk.

Have you confirmed the mobo is dead? If so and you therefore cannot run SysPrep on the old hardware, you'll likely need to use Paragon Adaptive Restore CD to run on the installation before it will start up on different hardware - but you can try booting it first, then running the Repairs Theog suggests next.
