mod files all video icons nolonger shows th-nail preview

Hi
I have windows 7 Ultimate x64, i used to be able to see thumbnail previews on all my video files.
I can no longer see thumbnail for my .mod and .mp4 files but can see .avi and
This started after i uninstalled Nero 10
I Have tryed
Start -> Computer -> Right Click -> Properties -> Advanced system settings in left panel -> Click the first button named "Settings" in right panel, and check Show thumbnails instead of icons with no joy
also tryed
setting Widows media player as default and Default file type associations - restore for mpeg

Try your idea but in different approach...

Start > search bos, type folder options > Enter > View tab > un-check Always show icons, never thumbnails " > OK

I have try Start > search bos, type folder options > Enter > View tab > un-check Always show icons, never thumbnails " >. the box was already unchecked so i checked it and the unchecked it again and this still has not worked.

Information
By default Windows 7 stores the images for thumbnail previews in cache memory so that it can redisplay the images quickly each time you reopen a folder in Windows Explorer.

This will show you how you to clear the thumbnail cache to reset it. Deleting the thumbnails in the cache forces Windows 7 to reload the thumbnail picture views into the cache as needed as you open folders.

Note
You may want to clear the thumbnail cache if the Windows Explorer thumbnail pictures have become corrupted and not displaying properly, or the thumbnail cache file has become to large and you want to clear some hard disk space.
