Hi everybody!

I am using the Win7 build 7000, and the driver for my SB Audigy SE was installed from windows update (basic driver). I configured to work on 5.1 and tested, it was OK. But the same problem that I faced on Vista happened here: the bass signal is not being redirected to my subwoofer.

In windows Vista, I solved applying the Daniel_K driver, and by the audio control I could apply this fix, but now, in Win7 I don't find this option with this driver installed. Also the Daniel_K driver gets me BSOD, even in compatibility mode.

So, anyone has this issue too? Can you give me any hint on how to solve this problem?

Thanks!

Hi Jester, welcome to the forums,

What build of 7 are you running? It could be that the newer builds, due to their larger driver database, might have better drivers for your sound card.

It's just a thought :p

Hi! I'm using build 7100. I've installed the latest Creative Labs driver version 1.04.0090 and saw tab in Properies dialog - Sound Blaster. There's a list of options (Bass Management is in the list) but it's not possible to configure them.

I've just found you have to deslect full range speakers in the windows 5.1 speakers configuration and bass management and redirection works..

Hello everyone!

I know its been a while since last post on this thread, but im stumbling on the exactly same problem :(

I got Audigy SE integrated on a K8N Diamond Plus motherboard, and I can't make tha bass redirection option work no matter which driver i try;

first I let Windows Update find the suitable driver, no bass redirection option available there, all the SB enhancements are in a list in Speaker Properties/Sound Blaster but none of them are configurable (bass boost, bass management, CMSS, EAX, EQ)

I tried downloading manually the latest driver provided on creative website, nothing changed
On the official MSI site they got completely wrong version of audio drivers, X-Fi instead Audigy SE :(

I downloaded the P17x support pack from Daniel_K (tried more than 1 version), in the audio console addon there was a bass redirection/boost option, but activating it didnt change anything, the most functional thing from this application was the EQ that is non-existant in regular driver version. I installed this driver over an existing official one, as well as doing a clean install after removing/sweeping the previous installed driver, both with no success

deselecting full range speakers also dont change anything for bass management or any other options...

I'd really appreciate if anyone can provide me with any solution or workaround for solving this problem, I really don't care about any other SB enhancements - I only want the bass boost, because it sounds really lame without it.

P.S. same setup wored without any problems on windows XP OS before getting win7 on the system

Thank you in advance!
