Can you believe I got the Crucial m4 in one day standard shipping. I paid standard $5.00 shipping and had it in one flipping day. It will buy me many updates and some software additions, then to be a good little recycler the C300 will go nicely in the lappy.









Oh for what's it worth I imaged with the Crucial software 59.5gb from the c300 to the m4 in less than 28 minutes via USB 2.0 cable provided in kit. Should have just used my hot swap bays and will on the next project but the cable worked like a champ.

I think you can just see the foam tape between the to surfaces. That stuff is crazy strong and would be more than enough.

Well I've gone and done it, ordered a 128 gb Crucial 4m to replace the C300 Real 64 gb and then soon to top my Phenom OC'd processor off with the new Corsair H100 sans software/hardware upgrade which will be phase two if at all. Then if the system will support p/p fans I will run them as well, either way lots of pic's to follow when it arrives after current 2-3 week back order. The C300 will go into my laptop which should make it very happy then sandwich the WD 320gb 2.5 into the new enclosure and then I'll have 64gb C drive and 320 + 250 gb's externals via usb 2.0.

The M4 is really good, your desktop and laptop will be very happy now.
I did the same with my SSDs, old one went into the second HD bay in the laptop, it's a couple years old but is very fast now, battery life doubled, from 4 hours to 8

Have you seen the SSD endurance testing going on at Extreme Systems forum?

Started out with a Intel X25-V 40GB (kingston), Intel 320 40GB and a OCZ V2 40GB.
The OCZ had to stop due to wear leveling restricting the write speed too much.
Recently they added a Samsung 470 64GB, M4 64GB and a C300 64GB.

They are writing as fast as they can to see when they will fail.
The Intel 320 and Samsung 470 are past the rated wear limit and still going.

You might like to see how the M4 and C300 compare in this testing, the C300 started a couple of weeks after the M4, so is a bit behind.

Very interesting test.

Both should do the job nicely. I like how small the integrated amp is and you should be able to set the volume and then use the computer as the gain for volume control. If your mobo has digital out then also consider a DAC to put before the integrated.

I got a good 20c on full load for the GPU's, and the idle temps have dropped from around 45c aircooled to 36 to 38c water. As i had the H70 for the CPU, those temps have not altered much . Heaven benchmark and gaming have gone from 70c/80c to a steady 50c/55c

Nicely built Rigs by FilthyDiesel and max51 , the only thing left to do is invest in an SSD for the system drive to achieve warp speed.

I commend you both for bang'n tight systems.
FD way to go turning off the flash. You either have the steadiest hand known to man or a tripod? And that case is very unique and filled with top shelf components. obtw love the skull !
M51 as well way to go I'm a big fan of the blue led. The water cooling looks amazing and as a AMD guy you've got my vote. Great pic's of crazy nice rig's kudo's to you both......great job!
