Firefox 3.5 Will Arrive June 30

Firefox 3.5 (final) has been released. The main download page isn't up yet, but should be later on today.

If you already have Firefox 3.5-rc3, there's no need to install this since it's the same build.

Ive just downloaded it via the update function in FF.
Seems ok so far. Hopefully it will be a bit quicker than the last few versions.

LOL, yes it is. When i opened FF this morning i was alerted about the update and i downloaded it.
I cant prove it though but i bet im not the first one.
Other than a screen shot how can i prove it to you?

EDIT: I was using 3.5 RC3 (i think it was 3) so maybe this does link to the 3.5 release rather than if i had used 3.0.11

It's kind'a weird..... I just downloaded FF 3.5 from "File Hippo" and it installs as 3.5, not RCx or any special designation.
But on the opening screen I get this......

Did someone just forget to remove this opening screen?

Maybe I'm just not as observant as I once was, but I really see no difference between 3.0.11 and the newer 3.5. What am I missing?

The final version is up on firefox.

Also, 3.5 is faster than 3.0.11, just run some benchmark tests and you'll see the difference.

However, I am not using 3.5, instead I use 3.6a1pre, which is faster than 3.5 and pretty stable.

First off. Great news. Does anyone know if mozback up is up to speed backing up profile for 3.01 then importing for FF 3.5, I cannot glean this from moz's site? Also can you update in place from 3?

i just installed over old install - everything has come over nicely. Lost a few add-ons, but mostly obscure ones. As usual Tab Mix Plus is not ready - the developer is a perfectionist but his dev build is fine (as far as I can tell).

and yes, I updated in place.

(lost roboform toolbar, drag and drop.io, Evernote Web Clipper and Iterasi add-ons)

Manually, Firefox didn't recognise the update - might not be pushed yet, not at least to Australia

oh, and as you can see I'm 7100 32bit

After using Chrome, I can't go back to FF! I tried 3.5, but the GUI is so big and clunky.

I agree about the GUI for FF being big and clunky, but you can always customize it.

Here's my 3.6a1pre. I like it better than Chrome mainly for the addons.

Very Keen on Safina doing well - her brother was one of a kind - we'll miss him, not enough character around. Hewitt must have a chance, only a few points in their Queens encounter and Hewitt seems pretty hot-to-trot, if he stays fit i think he could pull it off.

Don't know moz backup - use FEBE
