Pretty darn hot here, yesterday had a heat index of 110 with temps reaching 100 Deg.

This morning at 7AM it was 83 Degrees

Here on the left coast of the US we are having an unusually cool summer. Where I live, the month of July would typically have quite a few days above 100°. The forecast here shows the highest temp over the next 10 days will be 87°. It's pleasant but very unusual.

It is usually 2-4* degrees cooler out here in the countryside.
Plus we usually have an updraft breeze here on the hill coming off the Mississippi R.
That at least makes it feel a bit less miserable.

Here in Michigan, we hit just over 100 degrees yesterday with a heat index of about 112. Been over 90 degrees for the past week....which is hot for us. The average in Michigan this time of year is 84. Looks like the rest of July is forecast to be around 90 degrees each day.

Here in Fort Smith, Arkansas, yesterday we tied the record set in 1934 of 17 consecutive days of 100+ high temps.

This morning at 4:25 am the sign at the bank showed 93 and the info center in my car showed 91.

This month's electric bill is gonna be a whopper...air conditioner runs nearly constantly.

NOAA website is predicting 105 as today's high, currently it's 102.

We've had a total of 25 (26 counting today) days of 100+ highs, 18 of them consecutive.

Here in Milwaukee the thermometer says 87, but it sure feels warmer than that! This is better than the previous few days though, which have been in the mid-90s.

'Bout time you Yanks take a little of the load off the South. We've been having triple digit temps since about March. We've had two inches of rain since last September. Inch and half about three weeks ago and half an inch last Tuesday. The early garden we normally plant in late February burned up by late March. Three of the last four years have been Extreme Drought conditions.
