Is there anyway to make a bootable jump drive with all windows os on it? I need one for work. Everything I have found will only let me do one OS. I need Vista 32 and 64bit, 7 32 and 64 bit, and XP Pro.

If anyone know please let me know cause I'm at a loss.

Yes. I have tried YUMI and it only lets me do one iso. When it ask me to add another iso, the Windows vista/7 option goes away. I did try to use the "try and unlisted iso" option and still nothing

I already have 7 with both 32 and 64bit and one for vista, but how do you put them on one jump drive to boot from.

I write the WIn7 ISO to flash stick using Ultra ISO trial version: On File tab Write ISO or Open DVD, on Bootable tab Write Disk Image, Format, Write.

What will be there after this operation is the seven Win7 install folders, which I sweep into their own folder until they are needed and then spill them into the root.

I can do the same with Vista extracted to the same pen drive, but have not tried it with different bit versions. It's worth trying, but I just use separate pen drives for now.

I can also keep all of my tools for install on the same pen drive in their folders. and it doesn't interfere with bootability once the chosen OS has its folder spilled into the root to boot for install.

It is said recently here that these flash installers cannot be used for Repairs because their boot sector will be read as Win7 boot, however I have never experienced this and would like to hear from others about this.

I did some more research and from what I read on other forums is that it not going to happen. They say that windows had to have files on the root of the drive. So if you put more than one iso on the drive it would have to have files on the root of the drive for each os, and when you do this windows doesn't know what file to use or reads the wrong file.

I'm not giving up on this that easy. There has to be a way to get every os on one drive.

This well do what you want if you'd actually look at it.

Besides installing Windows 7, you can make your USB become a Super System Maintenace & Emergency Rescue Tools. (i.e, recover/copy files when Windows cannot startup/lost partition/formated partition, reset or recover system/windows password, testing tools)

If you mean a system repair flash drive, they work perfectly well. One way to make them would be to dump the contents of a system repair disk to a bootable ufd. The other way that I use is to copy off various files from C:\windows\boot folder to the primary partition of the ufd, then copy off boot.sdi and winre.wim from recovery locations on the hard disk to the ufd partition, and mark the ufd partition active.

Did you even read my post above?

I explained how to put the extracted folders away into their own OS Files folder until needed when you spill them into the root of the stick.

This way you can keep both Win7 and Vista on the same stick in their own folders until needed, along with any other tools you want.

This is possible because they both use the same bootsect /nt60 which is coded onto the stick to make it bootable by UltraISO, the Universal USB Installer, or manually if you want to spend all that time.

You can not use a USB Pendrive to do a startup Repair, as startup repair will find the MBR on the Pendrive & not the HD.
Therefore will not detect a problem.

Windows Vista or Windows 7 no longer starts, and the Startup Repair tool does not fix the problem

Well, my repair UFD finds the hard drive windows install just fine.

And regarding that article Ray, it just fixes startup repair error because of a usb drive inserted, it doesnt talk about running startup repair from a usb drive.

If you have a Startup Repair USB Drive inserted, than you have a USB Drive inserted.

I have multiple ISOs on a pendrive/YUMI/Grub4Dos USB.
I simply use the ISO of the system repair disk for that function but it does like first position in the menu list.

Actually not so difficult. You just need to grab the 32 bit and the 64 bit winre.wim files from the respective install disks (or hard drive or make them in waik), rename them a bit so you dont mix up and copy them to the ufd, then use easybcd to create a bcd store on the ufd and create winpe type boot menu entries for both the wims. Easybcd does the rest, when you boot from the ufd you should have 2 entries, use the x86 one with a 32 bit system and the x64 one with a 64 bit one.
