The AI recovery does not recognise the partition where the recovery files are despite me being able to see it. I can't burn the files to make a backup dvd. I tried this on my U46SV but does not work:
AI Recovery Burner says "Partition does not exist"
Also tried the F9 key for HD boot but I do not see the Windows 7 [EMS] option. Everytime when I start W7, I get the pop-up telling me to make the restore DVD. When I open the software, I can't click start. There is no option for a DVD writer (the option is blank) for AI recovery ver 1.014. It also says it could not detect the partition though I can clearly see the partition in my computer. With AI recovery ver 1.013 I can select the DVD-writer, but the software still fails to see the recovery partition.
I'm now thinking of making a manual boot manager and try a factory reset with the HD partition. Is this possible? Can I make a boot manager with the files below? I can only find the bootmgr file but not the other files when looking at this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2676-bcdedit-how-use.html
How do I go about doing this? I've included a SS of the files in the recovery partition

with the same problem. In step no. 2: “Get the required files for the boot DVD (boot image with standard MS tools)
2. copype.cmd x86 d:\winpe_x86″
The WIn AIK says copye.cmd is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Does anyone know where am I going wrong?
