Custom Made Sig and Avatar [6]

Hi Guys

Thought I would ask here as it seems as good a place as any. Is there an online site that would convert a coloured picture into greyscale. I am using a wallpaper that I think Arc made as my logon screen but would like to add it to the white explorer background but in a sort of pencil sketch fashion rather than colour if that makes sense.

Danny, I dont know an online app, but free apps like paint.net or GIMP can do it easily .

In GIMP, open your image with GIMP, then Image > Mode > Grayscale , and save the result !

I think the front text overlapping the back reflection is quite natural looking. That's how it would look if the text were sitting on a piece of glass.

That would be great Britton. I'm looking for something very much like your sig in colour all grey/silver with a white background so it doesn't take over the explorer page totally, more like a background effect.This is the image, Hope Arc doesn't mind me doing this to it or the fact I've trimmed it slightly on one side as the skull wasn't quite in the middle of the page and it was more obvious it wasn't central on the login page with the password box.
(I am aware of my OCD with things not been in the middle)

Edit-Tried the greyscale and I see what you mean but its background is still black, im going to need it white with the skull image dimmed down a bit. Like an artists initial pencil sketch I suppose.

Try SumoPaint:

Sumo Paint | Online Image Editor

I'm pretty sure it has Greyscale conversion You don't need to make an account, just click on Open Sumopaint on the website and it will bring up the online editor

I originally said white background but now I've seen the grey I can't choose lol.

I must say - and I think I can speak for my fellow-GFX-members in this case - that it's nice to see this thread back in its old place. I (and, I am sure, many others) was very surprised to find the thread in the Chillout Room a few days ago, especially when taking into consideration that the people who have the technical privileges to move and modify threads wear signatures created by the GFX Team. Would it have been such an embarrassment to contact the GFX Team before moving the thread and at least stating the reason, or going over a potential issue beforehand? I hope my direct manner of addressing this incident is not considered offensive; but I could not let it pass as silently as the thread-moving.
And finally: thanks for moving this thread back to its original location. Now that is something I and several others appreciate.

Which in my opinion would have been a grave mistake.
The GFX Team aren't looking for rep points like some think. We do it to show our skill and creativity just like those that help in the BSOD squad or any other worthy help team.

Being of Irish decent I probably would have said something that would have made me a cell/stall mate of Topper's.
