Hello everyone,

I'm a complete neophyte at Power-point; this is my first project that I'm working on and I'd hate to have a program beat me into submission

I'm having trouble getting the tiny little video in the center of the screen of my power-point presentation to go "full screen". There is no full screen button (as has been suggested elsewhere), nor an options tab on top the page to access this.

I can't locate the "update" device under the options that are presented when clicking on the Office button (again as has been suggested elsewhere).

Forgetting the 3 different programs I had to install/uninstall to convert the video from a mp4 into an acceptable format this has still been a little frustrating... but I'm sure that we can figure it out.

Here's a screen shot of the tool bar. Any idea of what I should click on? Thanks in advance.

I don't have PP 2007 but in PP 2010, this is the procedure:

  1. In Normal view, click the movie frame on the slide that you want to play full screen; the Video Tools menu tab is added and opened.
  2. Click the Playback tab.
  3. Select (check) the Play Full Screen check box.

You'll have to see if PP 2007 is similar/same.

be sure and save the source video to the device you are showing the pp from ,IE if you have it saved to a stick then have the video on the stick and check that the pp points to that video location,
my wife last year had a pp presentation to do ,it was her first and we both got our heads round creating a video slide ,when it came to the presentation the video slide wouldnt play because the video was back on the desktop and not on the thumbdrive. at least im convinced thats why it didnt work. so check it out on a different computer to see it works before doing the presentation.

andrew, if you add a video to a slide as part of the presentation it shows as a small window within the slide, i think the op wants the slide to have the video full screen size instead of the small window.

Thank you all for your invaluable comments and direction.

It appears that the "small" area on the slide which represents the video can be manipulated by clicking and dragging the edges to where you need it to go size-wise. I appreciate the advise re: placing the video in the same folder as the presentation. I sure don't want to leave the video behind on the desktop while I'm running around with a memory stick.

Again, thank you all for your invaluable input.

Right, thanks for that as I wasn't really sure, but felt it worthwhile posting just in case.
