Hello everyone! I just installed F1 2011 on my desktop (win 7 ultimate x64). Everything went fine, but when i try to launch the game i get this:

You need Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant installed and/or Games For Windows client.

Thanks for your reply sir. The thing is that i 've alredy installd these features, and updated them to the later verion as well. I also installed nvidia 285.27 drivers, net framework, direct x 9 and 11 but still nothing...

I formatted my pc today (it was about time), re-installed the game and now im getting this:


This application failed to start because openal32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

my system is up to date,i've updated directx aswell,framework,c++ etc


Now what sould i do about this? I didnt find anything on the game forum.

Appcrash error can be caused by two things.

1. Your overclocking setting to not play well with this game.

2. Your sound card could be causing this issue. I know F1 2010 had the issue that was simular to Call of Duty 4. Just google it.

Also your system is realy low to run that game. At full res. you might only get 8 to 10 FPS just to let you know.

thanks for the assistance! I just installed open AL (it was included on the game dvd-maybee im getting too old).

Now the game runs fine. But the graphics aren't that good.


@Beta :which subsystem(s) do i need to change to get better performance?

Your GPU is what is lacking. My ATI 4850 can only muster 22 FPS (almost full settings). I love that game.
