Solved I want to remove all my programs and clean computer

Hey guys like possible many other people we install programs that we never ever touch or use, so today I was wondering I want to clean my computer.

I got so many programs most I hardly use except Google Chrome lol, and steam. I was wondering instead of me going one-by-one in control panel and removing every program can I just delete C:\Program Files folder and all the programs, then after this is completed use a registry cleaner to clean the registry editor.



I have two folders

C:\Program Files
C:\Program Games ( ALL MY STEAM GAMES ARE HERE)

I will only delete the C:\Program Files

I know some steam games rely on Visual C++ and .net framework but I will reinstall these.


I know I could just reinstall windows but then I will have problems with security and other things since user data is on another hard drive.

No, unfortunately you can't just delete the Program Files folder. There is nothing you can do short of manually uninstalling each program individually. Though rather than using the native Windows uninstaller, I would use a program like CCleaner.

lol I use CCcleaner that's what I would use to clean the registry, why can't I just delete the the folers in Program Files and then use CCcleaner to clean the computer, how would it effect the PC?

Software also leaves .bat, chm, .dll files too which CCleaner and reg cleaning won't remove. You can try Crappy PC No More! | The PC Decrapifier which is for removing OEM bloatware, trials, etc. It probably won't identify all of what you don't need howeve, but may get a few of them.

Well the majority of the programs I really want to remove is the Microsoft ones, SQL .net framework, is there are program which just removes these?

If you want a good uninstaller that does a good job of clearing out the remnants from the system registry, I recommend Revo.

I find it does a better job than the Windows 7 uninstaller and it's quicker too.

lol I was actually using Iobit Uninstaller lol, but anyway it no longer matters guys cause I reinstalled I could not be bothered with this junk...

Since you want to reinstall your programs anyway, I'd go completely clean and clean reinstall Win7 following these steps to get a perfect reinstall: Reinstalling Windows 7
