18 BSODs in 1 week- Started with BF3 now it's constant!

Hey guys,

Sooo as the title suggests. I've had a total of 18 BSODs in about a week period. It all started when I tried playing Battlefield 3 but now it seems to be happening randomly. I did as the stickied thread suggested and gathered the necessary info for you guys to take a look at.

I did do some software updates before I bought the game so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or not (I only upgraded my video drivers (nVidias release the 24th, the day before BF3 release) and my network drivers. Oh and my sound card drivers (onboard sound). After doing some searching I read that maybe it was some other conflicting out of date drivers so bought Driver Genius Pro and installed and ran it on my PC and it updated about 10 out of date drivers. After that the computer seemed to work for a lot longer but then the errors popped up again.

Here are my brief system specs.

Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 bit
AMD 9500 Quad core processor (2.2ghz)
8 Gigs DDR2 ram
nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1gb Video Card
Not sure what brand I bought (built PC awhile back) but it's a 750w PSU

7 of 18 are these. the rest scattered all over the map. If you are overclocking stop.

What you're looking for will be in one of the following categories:

a) BIOS bug
b) a driver whose activity is causing the target processor to lock up
c) a hardware defect (temperature, voltage, dust, RFI, outright borkedness...)

So, check the drivers
Then check the inside of the case (temperature, voltage, dust, etc).
Then run some hardware stress tests

Prime95 Setup:
- extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
- double click on the executable file
- select "Just stress testing"
- select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
- "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.

Then try replacing parts.
Then look up the versions of your BIOS to see what changes were done.
