thats a little cheap for a 800w psu.

the psu is one thing you dont want to skimp on with a system, as if it dies, it may well take out a few other things with it.
Its not snobbery, but its best to stick to well known brands. with good aftermarket services. for example corsair psu's now come with 7 year warentys, i feel safe knowing that

oh and it only has 1x6 pin conector on it, you need 2 for higher end gpu's

Ok so the things I will need are 2x6 pin connectors?

Im really struggling to find a perfect one :/

These are my specs:
Processer : AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
Ram : 6gb
Motherboard : AS rock? M3AUCC AMD 480X crossfire + SB 600 chipset
PSU : Novatech 800w
OS : Windows 7 ultimate
Also I should add that I use my 46inch HITACHI TV screen as my monitor. ( dont know if that effects the picture or not) derp

Im looking for one that fits the bill perfectly, and has all the adapters that i need for a GTX580, ive been looking alot but I dont see to get very far as my knowledge about computers starts and ends at how to use the task manager
If someone would spare the time to find me one preferably on this site :Aria PC - Computer Hardware, Components, Monitors.. at lowest prices id be very grateful Its not that im being lazy (well it is kind of) but i have no idea how to find one that is perfect for the GTX580.
Id be willing to spend around 100 pound

a 650w will be more than fine. you can go bigger if you want more future proofing, and or crossfire/sli

yeah will work fine. the 4x 6+2pin are what you use for the GPU, and youve got 4 so you can have 2 gpu's lol.

Just to be clear, you don't need an 850watt power supply to run that one card, a 650-700 watt power supply would work as well. Now if you're running two of those cards, than yeah an 850 would be good.

Well I think in the future i might sli, so im going to buy the 850 so I dont need to upgrade my PSU later Im guessing it will still work for that one card for now though? ><

Also, if you don't have enough of the PCI Express 6 pin power connectors, the new graphics cards will come with adapters to convert molex connections (2) into a 6 pin PCI-Express (1).

So, it's also not necessary to replace your power supply if you run into this specific issue.

Depends on what card brand you get, my Sapphire 6950 2 gig did come with one. I know XFX brands come with them as well.

You'll need a 6 pin and an 8 pin. (A 6+2 PCI-E cable can be used as either a 6 or 8 pin.)

nVidia has a list of PSUs that they certify for various multi-card setups:

If a good 950W PSU is adequate for two 580 cards in a system, then 650W ought to be adequate for one card. (Gigabyte recommends a minimum of 750W, but a good 650W PSU may offer more +12V current than a poor 750W one.)
