bios is F3, 8/31/2011, I think the new bios is for AM3+ support. Uninstalled avira, running MSE.

I imagine yours is recent enough to not likely be causing the blue screen error. Have you tried the CMOS and BIOS software connection reset outlined in my previous post? It may clean some things up for you. Especially given the memory module swap.

Edit: After doing the CMOS reset, you may have to change your memory settings back to the configuration that you said was providing more stability. Try running without that change first, but if you blue screen, do the resets (CMOS and BIOS software/temporary memory) again, then change the memory settings.

Agree with you that there is no way you should do so. Beta flashing is very risky, and you could end up with a non-functioning motherboard.
