I have had problems with this laptop randomly shutting off and bsods. The cause of the majority of the bsods is ntoskrnl.exe. I have uninstalled Avast and replaced it with AVG on 12/16/11 (today, for me atleast.).

I have checked off automatic restart and still doesn't show a blue screen very often, it just reboots.
I ran memtest on multiple occasions for at least 2 passes each and no errors were found.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1
System Model: Gateway NV57H26u
Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz

You have 5 different appearent causes in 7 crashes. My gut feeling says it is Related to bScsiMSa.sys Memory Stick Controller from Broadcom Corporation.

I would remove it at least to test.

You also have some old drivers needing updating

Code:
Afc.sys 7/12/2006 12:48:20 AM fffff880`05fd5000 fffff880`05fde000 0x00009000 0x44b48d24
NTIDrvr.sys 3/24/2009 10:09:39 PM fffff880`05fe6000 fffff880`05fee000 0x00008000 0x49c9a073
UBHelper.sys 4/27/2009 3:48:19 AM fffff880`05fde000 fffff880`05fe6000 0x00008000 0x49f57153

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Well instead of removing the broadcom driver, I just updated it. If it is still happening I will repost the dump and if it is still the culprit I will remove it and hope for the best.

Those 3 drivers that are outdated, I could not find an update for them.

I got a random reboot yesterday and today I ran a driver verifier on all non-windows drivers and it was working fine, so I decided to check the loaded drivers and 2 didn't load. (my ipod driver and HD PVR driver) I plugged in my ipod and opened iTunes and no problems, then I plugged in my HD PVR and loaded up Total Media Extreme and it crashed and I tried it again and same thing. The cause is the HD PVR drivers but I want another opinion to see if there is another underlying cause(s).

The cause was faulty RAM.
Haven't had any problems since the upgrade.
