My phone company applying a content lock on my phone because I'm "under 18 :sarc: ", (and classing Flickr as a restricted site).

I ceased to be "under 18" a few years ago!!!! (35), and do not appreciate having to make a special trip into town to prove it

Government censorship.

I understand the Government input, but the issue here is that this is a contract that you have to be over 18 to take out, not a pay as you go phone, all the checks were done when I took out the contract.

I could have removed the lock on-line by using a Credit card, but I don't have one, I use a debit card for any payments I need to make, there's less temptation to spend

Having to walk though / around everyone elses (company) workspace / cubicles to get to mine in the morning.

Once at work it's not a big deal, but not everyone arrives at the same hour.

A chill factor of -65F, not uncommon here.

Very very simply sweat is warmed by the body / blood passing very close to the sweat glands and is carried to the surface of the body where the heat contained in the sweat is taken away.

Now at no wind conditions this would be just an "ambient" loss but given the increased passage of air across the skin surface more sweat is evaporated and the heat contained in it dissipated to the surrounding air.

If one could analogise that just think of the CPU heatsink if there were not a fan blowing air across the fins the the heatsink would cool much more slowly than when the air is flowing at a high rate across the fins. because the air current acros the fins "picks up" the heat and carries it away.

Air is more readily heated than harder or more dense materials because the lower number of atoms that are "agitated" because of that lower density.
To go to a ridiculously extreme and unlikely example if lead could be poured across the skin the high density of it would take some time to absorb any radiated heat. But I stand to be corrected.

It annoys me to have hot lead poured across my skin!

Oh, oh.. and there are guys that do that...with lead (they pre dip their hands in water, really thin layer, and do several dips into orange molten lead and even copper! I swearz it!

But to enter into your geekdom: you forgot to mention, the evaporation of sweat, or water/saline phase change from liquid to gas is exothermic, gives off heat - because it needs to exert so much energy (a.k.a. heat) to overcome the stronger bonds of the liquid phase molecules which are held tightly together, compared to vapor/gas phase loosely bonded phase. thought that might be better than "taken away"
