purchased the combo unit from tigerdirect in jan or april 2011.(here)

memory info:

CORSAIR XMS 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1600C9

purchased here.

power supply i have this one here
info:
SeaSonic SS-350ES active pfc f3
pso 350 watt 80 plus power supply.

so i had this error coming out :
today and few days ago sand the computer will just crash into a blue screen:

error: 9c
0000000000000000
fffff80000ba8bb0
0000000000000000
0000000000000000

so i decided to re-install windows fresh,

i put my windows 7 ultimate 64bit in and booted from it i got to the screen and click next, then agree ,chosse the hard (is only one 1tb),
and then the progress bar % come,,like 30sec the pc is getting frozen ...stock,
if i do it again same problem.

so,changed hard drive ,same problem,
all cables are out ,only keyboard and mouse ,
i checked the memory with memtest+ it pass 10. so that means is okay,
also tested each memory separate ,same problem.

so right now i have the dvd drive ,one hdd 1tb ,memory, thats all i have in my pc,
and i cant figure out why is it freezing on me all the time, the computer is clean ,no dust!

any help will appreciate!

happy holidays.

thanks...

i found this on another site maybe it will help you.

BCCode 9c Useually means its a machine check exception. It may be caused by faulty CPU, Mother Board, or RAM.

I had to go to a Vtt of +250 on my system, and needed a CPUV of 1.375; regardless of what you try, Dont go above 1.4 or +300, as that will take you out of the safe range. also look at your temps, No core , or anything else for that matter , should ever go above 85, with IBT or LinX, and some use 75 as their guide.

hmmm,thanks

i have purchased this as a combo from tiger direct and it had mb+cpu installed plus power supply too,

so i suspect that cpu or mb are bad, memory passed test,

i may change a new power supply with higher watts, and see what will happen.

thanks

Are you saying your only waiting 30 seconds and you think it`s freezing up ? That progress bar could take up to 2 minutes to show progression. Do you have any XP discs you could test the pc with?

not sure if you have a seting for the ( a drive) in your bios but i remember having a motherboard that would stop like that and it turned out it was the (a drive) it was enabled in the bios so when windows was being installed it would just stop for like 5 to 10 mins looking for the drve. but i didn't have one in the system . i disabled it and all was fine after that.

Your BIOS is probably fine, but for the heck of it, make sure your cdrom is set for 1st boot, your hard drive set for 2nd boot and disable the last 1 or 2. And make sure your hard drive shows up in the BIOS.

Is this a real disc your using or an ISO ?

how about your voltage setting on your memory on the link it says (Tested Voltage 1.65 ) is that what you have ?
sometimes just bumping your cpu or memory voltage up just a bit can make your system more stable.
you can try it and if it don't work change it back.

Give it a go and see what happens.

I wouldn`t mess with any voltage changes until you get this cleared up 1st.

Could it possibly be your dvd drive?

Also, you should connect the hardrive to the sata 2 connector.
