This really annoyed me.

A typical bad post. I'll save you the rant but you shoot yourself in a foot because most technical people won't even look at the post with this kind of subject.

This was an answer to a first time poster. The poster attempted to defuse his/her reports by adding a line at the end of this answer with "Good Luck."

Sorry, maybe is just me, albeit this would cause me to go elsewhere for help.

I'd be sorely tempted to report that. If you don't want to help, just skip the post! :sarc:

Back to the topic: It annoys me incredible much to click close on an webpage or ad, only to get another. For me, close means close, not "Please show me next page".

They pick and choose things you suggest. They don't follow you step by step. that seems to happen often I've seen. I don't understand why they ask for help, then decide they know what part of it they need. Can only speculate what their thought processes are like. A Guy

I think some people's minds can't quite follow the idea that troubleshooting is a process of elimination. If you eliminate "A" "C" and "E" but don't check "B" "D" and "F" you haven't done the job.

I blame the rise in ADHD caused by the Internet. It's a vicious circle.
