I have only 2 programs start with windows. As you see they are utorrent and daemon tools only. But for last 2 weeks my computer was getting slowed down by startmansvc.exe in first 5 minutes of windows startup.
This is first reboot time:


After that i googled it and saw that it's part of resgistry mechanic program. So i deleted it and reboot my laptop right after uninstall.
Here is the new result for second reboot:

Was a bit shocked by this, siomply due to everything at startup.


Steam, Norton, Xi-Fi Vol. Panel, Intel Storage Manger, Nvidia CP are the main things that start with Windows on my machine.

Not too bad considering.

this is how long mine took to reboot without any tweaks LOL can i make this bad boy reboot faster?
and this was with CCC,outlook,commdo,via audio deck and lasso closing before reboot and with duo booting win 7 and xp before loading to win 7 at startup and starting the same process's i mentioned

Hi the rig in my sig is newly built and is barely 3 weeks old. It's using an ssd but the restart time script is stating a time of 44 seconds. Now I'm not completely sure but I feel that this is slow for an ssd compared to the times people are getting without one. Can anyone advise me on this?

Intel 320 120GB with nothing disabled at Start-Up.

I load everything I want on start up. Why have an SSD if your not taking full advantage of it?
Load your programs and go on with your day.

If I cut my times down to 30 seconds and then have to start everything manually???
Save 14 seconds restart and then spend 5 minutes turning everything on manually.
That makes no sense.
