IE 8 Not loading pages properly I think its Flash that is causing it? What can I do to fix this? I have repaired IE8 and still the same problem, my yahoo homepage and mail page is doing it constantly. I have Adobe flash player 11 Active x and adobe flash player 10 plugin installed. Also I think I know but when I am browsing it says on the status bar done but when i scroll down it begins to load more content as far as i am aware when you load a webpage and it says done that should be it or am I wrong? I am begining to think my ISP is at it as they say they are the fastest and just wondering if they are tricking me into thinking that, as it shouldn't have to load more content when the page says done in my opinion.

Hi Marsmimar I don't have the first option its windows 7 pro i am running. Done the rest, Guess I will just have to put up with it. I wish They kept the same layout in IE9 and I would just upgrade to that. Thanks for your suggetions anyway mate. Oh by the way am I right about when opening a webpage and it says done in the status bar that there should be no more to load as you scroll down the page?

I'm really not sure on that. I've experienced exactly what you've described on my old XP machine with IE8 and on my 7 machines with IE9. Doesn't happen very often at all. It might have something to do with how the website was created. I'm not an expert but I believe some of the things that must be considered are how new or fresh pages are added to the website, changing the page order, modifying the page template, etc. I guess any of these parameters could cause problems. But if IE8 is acting weird on most websites it's probably an IE problem.

Just out of curiosity, if you visit a website, go to another website, then return to the first, do you still experience problems? If you haven't cleared browsing history, cache, temp files, etc the first website should load pretty quick. Does it?

I don't see that much of an improvement. It's very annoying the adverts are not apperaing 99% of the time. But thanks again Marsmima and it is only on Yahoo pages

That doesn't sound right. Under IE>>Manage add-ons, click on all addons. Flash player 11 would show as "Shockwave Flash Object 11.1.102.55" and there should be no mention of version 10. (At least as far as IE is concerned.) You could go here:
Uninstall Flash Player | Windows to download the uninstaller for flash player, reboot, and make sure there are no Flash Player add-ons in IE. Then go to Adobe - Install a different version of Adobe Flash Player to reinstall the latest player.

Yes you are exactly correct that is the version i have, but in control panel I have Adobe flash player 10 plugin for some reason as well as flash player 11 ActiveX. Should I uninstall the plugin?

In my control panel I have an item called "Flash Player" with no version number. I would not mess with the control panel directly for changing what is listed in in.

run ie as administrator or give the flash plugin rights to run as administrator in ie options...
