Is this BSOD hardware or software related?

I've recently build a new computer, but have been receiving several intermittent BSODs.

I don't know a lot about them, so if anyone could help determine what might be the cause, or at least if it's hardware or software related?

I'm aware the performance report says i have no security installed, but I do have mcafee virusscan enterprise installed and running, with one feature turned off.

I'm also aware that there is an "unknown device" in the device manager under plug and play, but i don't think that has anything to do with either?

Windows was boot-installed over the same version of windows on another computer (using the same hard drive in new computer) and then Windows.old was transferred ti external HDD.

All the computer components are brand new (other than the internal HDD) and installed correctly (according to a local IT tech support guy)

My system specs are:

Windows 7Ultimate 64-bit (retail)
ASUS P8P67 Evo Motherboard
Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz
8GB RAM (DDR3, 1333MHz)
ATI Firepro V3750 (256Mb) Graphics
300GB SATA HDD

Thanks very much if anyone can help! :)
