I'm moving http://www.sevenforums.com/network-...access-shared-printer-files-home-network.html here, simply because the issue is not printer related; it's network-related, and I wanted to get the problem updated under a better title.
In a nutshell:
Every other computer in our house - XP ones and Win7 - can print to the printer connected to my computer, and every other computer has normal network access to my computer.
I don't have a Norton product - ever - on my computer or hers.
In a nutshell:
- Win7 laptop is connecting fine to internet via home wireless network
- Same Win7 laptop cannot, however, access my Win7 desktop - the files, or more importantly for these purposes, the printer USB-connected to that computer and shared with users on the network
Error code 0x80070035
The network path was not found.
None of the following has fixed it:The network path was not found.
- Turning my firewall off completely
- Stopping her AVG antivirus
- Starting in safe mode and doing a Malwarebytes sweep
- Using msconfig to do a selective boot with none of the services started
- Mucking with the TCP/IP settings on either computer
- Playing with the services on either computer
- Specifying the printer path by IP address name
- System restoring to an earlier point in time
