Solved Setting up a LAN "the right way"

Hello!

Can someone here help me with setting up a LAN with the following hardware:

-a Linksys router

-two PCs running Windows 7

-a PC running XP Pro

I already have a network setup but it doesn't quite work the way it should, so I would like to remove it all and start from the beginning. I would like to build the new network the "right" way so it allows me all the things I need, including printer sharing, file transfer and wireless connection of portable devices.

Can someone tell me how to do it or at least link me to some articles / tutorials that describe the process?

I also don't know how connect win xp to the network.
