Solved Recovery disc toshiba satalite m35-s359

Anyone here have a clue or link to a site where i can get a xp recovery disc for this laptop or even better a version of win 8 preview atleast so i can install and fix the system that won't boot due to ill use

You could try contacting Toshiba or Microsoft if the system is still under warranty.

well i talked to my wife's cousin < The one with the Laptop issue >

He told me that the Tech guy said his cpu was busted wasn't true

also said his dvd/rw was busted also false

Only thing i found wrong was a crap load of errors on the HD that keeps it from booting i tryed the recovery options and it failed

a Recovery disc is atleast 30.00 bucks I opted him a copy of vista i no longer have no use for if we don't find a option to recover

What really angers me is the fact a Tech with a degree tottally blew what he was trained for and on top of that doesn't even have a clue of what he messed up on my wife's familly members rig

He also informed me they replaced him with someone new OBVIOUS why they did he was a wrecker not a fixer

Anyway ,I guess i'll go ahead and try to shoot vista on there i can get all the drivers for the laptop from the site i just figured someone had some extra's they wanted to share

Update !

I installed Vista and managed to get everything running flawlessly

But to my surprise this laptop is limited it is a 1.4 Ghz intel M processor

512 ram it is a Toshiba satalite m35-s359

Now ,In the future I imagine he wants to install win7 but i need to find out how much ram this laptop will hold and if anyone think it would be even worth it to put money into this

Reason why i am asking cause he tells me it is emotionaly valuable to him ( First Laptop in US ) he bought with his first job

I just want some feedback should i just keep it running vista or should i ask him if he wants to spend he is willing to spend for upgrade but not for a new lappy

Which is beyond me but ,I did recommend a SSD also more ram if available the Cpu i doubt anything can be done for it but the ram SSD would give it a significant boost

Also there is no Homegroup for vista so he can't stream my Network drive unless i do remote desktop which i don't want to do

I always thought you needed at least 1GB to be able to run Vista or Windows 7, could try to bump that up a bit or Windows XP might be a good decision.

Yeah we are talking about ram as we speak it actually runs quit well

I just finished installing nero 9 ha all updates went through as well so yes he is please and we are talking ram now i just need to know which one will run and how much is his max

is there a program i can look up on that or should i look it up by number
