today...my new laptop arrived to replace my netbook i smashed in my scooter accident.

i decided to spend a little more and get a proper little 11.6" i3 laptop rather than an atom netbook, as i like the extra oomph. battery life is still good, according to the reviews, i've yet to find out.
should also be getting a new ssd in the next few days to make it nice and snappy.
oh yes, and i'll also be removing the stickers too...i hate stickers on hardware!

Dont use the charger yet,let the battery to completely empty\dry until the laptop is shut down.
Charge the battery and again use the laptop without the charger,and again let the battery to completely empty\dry until the laptop is shut down.
This way you benefit almost the full battery charge capacity.
After 2 "circles" you are free to plug\unplug the charger whenever you like.
