No Texts in Yahoo Messenger

Hello, I had no text in window chat of my yahoo messenger. I am using window 7, I have been trying 100 + different things but to no avail. It happened to me before, I downloaded the old version ( version 9 ) and It worked but not this time. Any expert out there can help me with this please. Thanks !

The best thing to do would be to uninstall yahoo messenger and delete all folders associated with it.
Download trial version of Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems and uninstall yahoo messenger and its leftover items using this utility.

Re-install the latest version 11.5 of yahoo messenger.Lets us know how it goes.

Ok i had a look at it and here is what you try this time.Uninstall yahoo messenger using control panel-programs & features and this time manual delete this folder from your system:C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Yahoo.

Reboot and install yahoo messenger.See if it works now.

Followed your advice, I didn't see anything related to yahoo in my username Folder. I checked a few times. Reboot and install yahoo but still no text. Very appreciate your help, come up with any other suggestion. Please let me know, thanks!

This Solved my problem.open a registry editor (click Start, click Run. On the Open box, type: regedit and then press Enter). Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft\ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ Zones

There should only be 5 items there, numbered 0 to 4. If you see a different one, especially if you see items that shows up as box, try deleting it.
Then Exit your Yahoo Messenger from the bottom bar (near the clock) or End Process it from task manager(Ctrl+Alt+Del -> process tab).
now run again your Yahoo Messenger!!

Netbox has a point.Have you tried changing message font settings in messenger??

I am using version 11.5, I did change the font settings..........Nothing in my chat Window

Q. 14. In Yahoo! Messenger, whenever I send a message or get a message I can't see the contents in chat window. All I can see is a blank window.
Sol: Please download Windows Script using following links:

• Windows 2000
• Windows XP
• Windows Server 2003

If you are using Windows Vista or 7, it already comes with Windows Script pre-installed. You just need to provide following command in RUN or Command Prompt:

regsvr32 vbscript.dll

I did too, still didn't work..............A few days ago, I were playing with Kaspersky internet security, I did some vulnerability fix, it may cause this problem. After I deleted K internet security, I found out that My yahoo chat window has no text. I used Ad SystemCare 5 to to a clean uninstall but I still have registries in the save log of Ad Systemcare 5. Anyway that I can use Kasperky undo what I did . Thanks

create a new user account following option one in this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/181024-user-account-create.html thread and log in yahoo there see if the same problem of "no texts" persists and let us know.

do you have the latest version of Internet Explorer installed?

I have version 9 and I believe it is the latest Version.

uninstall yahoo. download and install CCleaner - Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download , run the cleaner on both windows and application tab. perform a rest of internet explorer settings from here How to reset Internet Explorer settings then install yahoo, see if the problem still persists. might also want to get the latest version of adobe flash and shock wave Adobe - Downloads. let us know how it goes.
