Okay, I've attempted to dissect your .psd file Archie. The thing is, I still can't see how you made those shapes! I've done the rounded rectangle but how do you make it have that little curved triangle in the top right-hand corner?

Use the pen tool, Jaidyn .

The curvature is actually fake ... an illusion made my gradient overlay. See the gradient settings there.

Unfortunately to knock out an animal / human (especially hairy ones) it's very difficult to use the normal masking tools this is why I use Corel PHOTO paint's "cutout lab" you can download the free trial CorelDraw Suite trial and give it a go.
Here's a tutorial on how it works

P.S. I'll cut out the puppy in a bit and post it later for those that would like to use it

Unfortunately to knock out an animal / human (especially hairy ones) it's very difficult to use the normal masking tools this is why I use Corel PHOTO paint's "cutout lab" you can download the free trial CorelDraw Suite trial and give it a go.

I unfortunately only have CS4 which makes it pretty difficult to cut out images but if you have CS5 then there is a new option to cut out images (with hair etc.) *tip try and use as higher res images as you can get for this to work best
