Solved Can i upgrade to GT 440?

Hello everybody and i'm just curious if i can upgrade to GT 440.
here are all the specs i could find on my PC and one program called Speccy.
OS: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit SP1
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 620
RAM: 3GB dual channel DDR2
couldn't find anything about my motherboard sorry
GPU: 128MB GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a
(that is the GPU i have right now)
HDD: 488GB Hitachi HDP725050GLA SCSI Disk Device (ATA)

I could try and find something about my motherboard if needed and if anything else is needed please ask because i would love to upgrade soon.

Unfortunately, the motherboard is the most crucial bit of info when it comes to graphic card upgrades.

Try using CPU-Z to find the brand and model of your motherboard.

ok now i'm having a bit of a problem:
I go to mainboard where it says motherboard
then manufacturer is blank and model is blank o.o
although it does tell me the chipset, southbridge and LPCIO
chipset: NVIDIA GeForce 7025 Rev. A3
southbridge: NVIDIA nForce 630a Rev. A2
LPCIO: ITE IT8712

The graphics controller is an onboard one.

Is the machine a commercial one (HP, Dell, etc.)? If you can post its exact model number, that may make it possible to answer your question.

I hope MP is what you meant with HP, Dell, etc. because otherwise i really
don't know because it doesn't say on of the sides of my desktop.
And i wish i knew where to find my exact model number because on some other site i asked the same thing and they asked the same question...
But they didn't know where to find my exact model number

Who made it? There's no sticker on the machine that gives the model?

If not, you may have to open the case.

Does it have an ATX power supply?

How tall are the slot opening in the case? Standard height is roughly 100 mm (4"). Low profile is much less.

One maker of a GT440 recoommends a minimum 300W power supply with at least 22A available at +12V:

Is a GT440 a good upgrade for you, if you can use it? It's a "Fermi" card, but it's a low-end one. (Anything is better than onboard graphics, at least for the older motherboards.)

Type dxdiag in the start menu search and press Enter. In the Window the pops up you should be able to see your System Manufacturer and model.

When you start your computer up, what do you see? Most computers show a screen made by the manufacturer or motherboard maker.

Its called ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS
can anybody tell me if i can upgrade to a GT440?
and also can anybody tell me how the GT440 is better then the GT520?
I would like to know the differences

You should have no problem upgrading to a GT 440 as long as you have at least a 300W PSU. The GT 440 is a much better card than the GT 520 as it has more CUDA cores and more memory interface width.

I'm a little pessimistic.

The M2N68-AM Plus is a microATX board, and a small one at that: 9.6 inch x 8.2 inch ( 24.4 cm x 20.8 cm ). It has a PCI-E X16 slot, which is good.

You could still have compatibility problems if your case is SFF (small form factor). Two possible problems:

Power supply too weak (220W).

Full height cards wouldn't fit.

If you needed to use a half-height card, you could still get a GT430, but it would want at least a 300W power supply.

You aren't going to find about either of those by using software.

My power supply is 450 watt and i know for sure full height cards would fit
