Hello Sevenforums.

I got my new graphic card last night evga gtx 580 1.5GB.

I was playing world of warcraft today and i noticed it was pretty hot so i tried to install a GPU temperature program to see how hot it was. Playing world of warcraft on ultra (all settings at top) my GPU hits 60 - 63 degrease. So it made me wonder if i need a water cooling for my pc. I just updated my system specs so you can take a look at them.

I dont wanna crash my new video card already :S

Do i need a water cooling system for my graphic card?

Those temps are fine for that GPU, "cool" even. :)

Up into the 80s is actually ok, 90s would be something to avoid.

Just make sure that you have good airflow in the front/side and out the back and that the air out the back isn't just being sucked right back in the front again (boxed up in a corner under your desk) and your fine.

Normal Gpu load Watercooling will not help anything but the Cpu

If you have extra Pci-e slots get a vga card blower and it will take way some of the heat
But in all reality that temp is nothing some games rev you up to 80c like above posted Highest i ever reached on my most demanding game has been 73c

If you have any issues about heat you can always add more fans and do better cable managment to allow better airflow pretty much thats all you can do shy of being in the polar ice caps :p

It seems you allready got your answers, but here is my 2 cents. No you do not need watercooling, and if the only game you usually play is warcraft and those types then you will never need it. I have a gtx580 and it constantly ran in the 80 degrees on big games, normal ones ran around 65 degrees, so dont warry about your temps, that card was made to run in high temps.

Do i need a water cooling system for my graphic card?

lol, hell no. As already mentioned it's perfectly fine - cool in fact.

Ditto.

The vast majority of mine around the 65~ mark. For the odd ones that get into the 80's I just use AB to up the fan profile.

As fseal mentioned, you only need to worry when it's near the 90c mark.
