Windows failed to start - 0xc000000e -AutoRepair doenst help

Did you try Rebuild MBR from PW Disk with Active flag on both partitions, followed by the 3 Repairs?

Just checking.

As a last resort try running the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows. This is automated in Startup Repair but sometimes can be flummoxed.

If not you can copy out your files and Clean Reinstall or run Factory Recovery as given here: Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot - Windows 7 Forums.
Make sure you completed all of the steps, too, since it will often not repair if infected or there remains damaged System Files.

I went trough that without any change.

After that I just tried "Seagate File Recovery for Windows" and there by analyzing the disk it shows all files..

I don't understand why Windows can't do that..thats quite disappointing :mad::cry:

Windows cannot recover your files because it cannot boot.

There are two methods given in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot to rescue files from unbootable Win7.

Seagate File Recovery sounds promising. Does it only work on Seagate HD's or like Seatools does it work on all models?

Windows cannot recover your files because it cannot boot.

Sure that had to be included in the startup repair, or as an startup repair option.
Just noticed that because obviously I will have to install Windows and a huge amount of apps again...whereas Seagate File Recovery simply recovers all data that I can't copy over thanks to windows program registry.

Seatools doesn't work in my case.
Don't know if Seagate File Recovery also works on other HDDs but there is no restriction in the software description.

Also ran ES-Test utitlity (except surface test) where all tests passed successfully.

This problem is often caused by a recent hardware change, if you have changed anything recently, put things back.
If the above is not the case you can try rebuilding the BCD store manually by using the Bcdedit.exe tool.
The link is to an MS kb article, I think it's about step 3. It covers other stuff that may help.

There is another set of commands which can be used to repair the booting (booted from Recovery CD/USB)

1. bootsect /nt60 all /force /mbr
2. bcdboot c:\windows - here c: is the drive where Windows 7 is installed, check if Windows 7 partition is not mapped to another drive letter.

If problem persists:
use diskpart to find drive letter of active partition, say it is W:

W:
attrib -s -h -r bootmgr
del bootmgr (delete bootmgr)
cd \boot
attrib -s -h -r BCD
ren BCD BCD.old (rename BCD)

And again the listed in the beginning 2 commands(bootsect+bcdboot)

syr,
You could also go the full distance on those specs:
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
(left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
“system manufacturer” block, for example,
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

There is a firmware update for your HDD.
I strongly recommend updating the firmware for your HDD.

The Sea Gate Tools will work on your hdd. I'm not talking about file recovery here but rather running a diagnostic program. However, highest priority is to update the hdd firmware.

Syr, have you worked through all of the steps given in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot?

What were the results of the virus scan ?

Which partition is marked Active and what happened when 3 repairs were run?

Is there a System Reserved partition? If boot files thereon failed 3 repairs then did you move the Active flag to Win7 partition and try repairs again?

Have you tried the fixes given using free Partition Wizard bootable CD? Can you post back a camera snap of the PW map and listings - attach using paper clip in reply box.

You must work through all of these steps to know you have done everything to boot Win7. If all fails there are steps to recover your files and clean reinstall or run inferior factory recovery.
