Solved Cannnot Reinstall Windows 7 Prem. 64 - Error 0X8007045D

Whenever I try to Re-install windows 7 (From Disc) I get the following error along with it saying this "Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available and restart in the installation."

This happened every time on the same process (Expanding Files) on installation with multiple disks (Burned via Imageburn at 4X Speed) I tried different images most of which I just found across the internet and I got one from Digitallife recommended from this guide and I got the same results as all the other images I tried, getting stuck at Expanding Files (Around 2 or 3% is where it pops up with the Error).

If it helps how I got to reinstalling Windows is cause whenever I tried to boot up it would just reset once I got to my desktop every time, tried things like safe mode same result so I just ended up Formatting the Drive and attempting to reinstall windows and then I find this error blocking my progress.

Anyways is there a solution to this problem?

Start by wiping the HD first with Diskpart Clean Command.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals.

Next reset BIOS to defaults, set SATA controller to AHCI to try install.

Try install with only 2gb RAM. Test your RAM - Test with Memtest86+ . Swap RAM sticks.

Next write the ISO to flash stick using Universal USB Installer, set HD first to boot in BIOS and trigger stick using one-time BIOS Boot Menu key - to rule out the installer as cause.

Alright so after trying each of those tests the results came up with the error at every turn.

Ran the Clean Command same error. Switched Bios to default and ran SATA through ACHI (It was actually already set to it) comes up with the same Error.

Ran Memtest for 14 passes and 0 errors were detected, tried installing with only 2 GBs of ram and switched the ram up, same error.

Set the HD to Boot over DVD drive and then ran installer through USB it got up to 15% instead of the usual 2 or 3% but the error still popped up.

So what should I do now..?

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the disk yourself? Burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

Next try writing the latest official installer ISO with SP1 to a flash stick with tool provided here: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Unplug the DVD drive. If it fails burn the same ISO to DVD using tool. This will rule out the installer.

Any chance you have an EFI BIOS? Check in BIOS boot order if there is an EFI boot disk listed and remove it.

Try installing with SATA controller in IDE mode.

I found them on that Digitaliife site from the same guide you linked me to (Explained in the OP) and then I burned 5 disks with imageburn at 4X speed and verified each one with them all coming up with no error's found when finished burning.

I let that program write the windows 7 image onto a USB stick then tried to install that way and got the error again, then I unplugged the DVD drive and got the same error again. Can't test with DVD drive at the moment cause it's being dumb.

For the sake Argument of lets just assume that running it through the DVD drive had the same error.

I checked the Boot order and the only things listed were the HD and the DVD Rom (Well before).

And when I try and select different mode for the SATA Controller it only lists AHCI And Raid as my choices, no IDE.

The problem with disk being verified is it doesn't confirm the ISO, which is why I suggested downloading another to be extra thorough.

Test the HD with maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.

Next access a DVD Command Line by pressing Shift + F10 at first screen or using System Recovery Options. Use Diskpart to create a full disk partition and mark Active as shown in Step 2.2 here: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation, then run Disk Check on the partition using commands given.

You can do this easier using free Partition Wizard bootable CD to create a Primary NTFS partition, Modify>Set to Active, run File System Check on partition.

Then try install again.

As a last resort try moving the HD to another computer to install Win7 with it plugged in alone, then SysPrep to move HD to another computer before moving it back.

The Bold part was the Solution that made Windows Install for me incase someone else comes across this error.

And I thought the HD had died or something similar you saved me $$$.

Why Thank you.

I'm not actually sure, it was either the Partition or the Disk Check Repair that let the installer run through.

I made a Partition and then I ran the chkdsk C: /F /R command on it and it did it's thing till it got to 100% and then I ran the Windows Installer and it worked.
