Hey everyone, I am at a complete loss of what to do now. I just purchased a new build, listed below, and cannot figure out why I am getting random hard freezes. There is no blue screen of death, just hard freeze required restart. I get about 3-5 a day.

GIGABYTE GA-H61MA-D3V LGA 1155 Intel H61 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

G.SKILL Value Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT

Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000

Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

XFX AMD Radeon HD 6870 900M 1 GB DDR5 DUAL MINIDP HDMI DUAL DVI PCI-E Video Card (HD687AZHFC)

I am running low on time, as my one month for newegg returns runs out soon. I lost a week having to RMA the hard disk already, as the first one that came was DOA.

I have performed furmark for 20 minutes, no failure. Memtest overnight, no failure. Seagate tools, passed test (didnt do thorough long test). Prime95 CPU small FFT for 8 hours, no problem. Prime95 CPU blend for 3 hours, no problem. I have tried reinstalling windows 7, and I have updated the BIOS. I do not know what to do now, any tips would be great!

Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:

Click Start Menu

Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
Expand Custom Views
Click Administrative Events
Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file here.

With less than a days worth of event log these are the only two worth mentioning. I would start with re-installing net framework.

net framework was not the issue before all the crashes. net framework was only installed in order to install seatools, after I have had the problem already. I ill try reinstalling it anyway.

Net framework has been re installed with no error messages, although there were 'warning' messages. attached is new log, including a new crash.

Would removing GPU and trying to run on integrated graphics be worth a try? or is this definitely not the problem.

thank you for your help!

Well then..... I tried removing GPU and trying integrated graphics, and now my machine crashed and looked similar to this

wtf?? it did it right away this time...

I JUST bought these parts, should I RMA the mobo or something?

EDIT: I have attached the logs including all of the recent crashes with the PCI-E GPU removed.

I would try pulling the card and using the integrated. Does it do the same thing with the card in safe mode (F8)?

I pulled the card, and with the integrated card I got video card error screens almost immediately after installing drivers that came with the mobo, safe mode worked fine to adjust to drivers back to before. I decided I would just refund the mobo/ram, get replacement mobo/ram and see if that works. If I am still having issues I will do the same with GPU/PSU. and by then, everything will have been replaced. I just decided that I shouldn't spend days trying to fix something that should work correctly as i literally just bought the parts brand new. I will update post if the issue is resolved by replacing mobo/ram or not.

thank you so much for your help! It really is a pain, as the companies I contacted did not take the time to respond to my ticket.

Actually, I have a question. Would you recommend that I replace the PSU before also? Is it possible that PSU has been corrupting/damaging my other components?

I dont know what you currently have. If it is 400w or more I might wait on it to see.
