Hello,

I've been experiencing overnight restarts with increasing frequency. Here are my system details:

- x64
- Came with Windows Vista installed; I then installed windows 7 myself
- The hardware is a ~2.5 years old
- I don't remember when I installed Windows 7, but not recently

I don't know if this is related, but I also have been experiencing a problem in which everything on my screen seems to freeze except the mouse. After a minute or two, the mouse usually freezes too and I have to restart the computer. Like the overnight restarts, the frequency of this problem also seems to have increased recently.

Thanks!

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Can I ask how you obtained your copy of Windows 7 Enterprise? As I understand it, the Enterprise version is not available through retail or OEM channels.

If there is doubt as to its authenticity, that could go some way to explain your current problems.

Unfortunately, I'm no BSOD analyst, but all being well, one of our BSOD experts will be along shortly.

If not, I'll ask for some extra help for you.

Your crashes all point to a USB device that is preventing the computer from entering a power state. It is either preventing your system from shutting down, entering sleep/hibernate mode, or waking from sleep/hibernate mode. My guess is it is preventing a sleep/hibernate sequence since you mention it happens at night.

One possible culprit is in red above; it is actually blamed directly in some of the crashes, so it is the most likely cause.

If you use the Swipe Fingerprint Sensor USB Driver AuthenTec, Inc., see if there is an updated driver for the device. Otherwise, remove the driver. To properly remove the driver, use the following steps:
  1. Click Start Menu
  2. Right Click My Computer/Computer
  3. Click Manage
  4. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
  5. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  6. Right click the device
  7. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  8. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  9. Restart your computer.

Alternatively:
  1. Login as an adminstrative user.
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Click Hardware and Sound
  5. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
  6. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  7. Right click the device
  8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  10. Restart your computer.

You may need http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/77614-device-manager-hidden-devices.html to find the device and remove it.

In addition to what Mike (Writhziden) compiled, You should know that you have a SAS (SuperAV) utility driver attempting to run. It looks like you may have tried various AV packages and failed to completely un-install them or there's more than one running. Better to pick one and get rid of all the rest. Multiple AVs will cause problems.

Also, it's likely that you're running out of resources. Possibly the pagefile is too small. There are numerous apps that fail to run due to lack of resources. (Maybe too many AVs.) :geek:

And, maybe the cause of many of your troubles; Your processor is throttling! This is caused by high temperatures. Check all the venting and inspect for excessive dust inside. A weak fan(s) can cause this too. Install a temperature monitoring program and log the temps and fan speeds over a period of time. High temperatures will shorten the life of you processor.

Here's a few more items you should investigate. These appear to be more "left overs" or wrong drivers loaded.

C:\Windows\SysWow64\drivers\Haspnt.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.

C:\Program Files (x86)\SUPERAntiSpyware\SASKUTIL.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.

Custom dynamic link libraries are being loaded for every application. The system administrator should review the list of libraries to ensure they are related to trusted applications. (This could be caused by multiple AVs, Malware or system (user) wide utilities such as key changer.) Worth looking into as it it uses resources.

The Computer Browser service depends on the Server service which failed to start because of the following error:
Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. (Check memory usage, drive space and/or pagefile.)
