Repeated BSODs in Windows 7 RC.:|

hello people,

been using Windows & for the past few months now, and I really must say its the best windows edition so far.

The windows Installation was working fine for the past months when I started to have BSODs all of a sudden within 5-10minutes of booting.My PC had been reset about 3-4 time before than due to power trips.I tried to find out the exact problem but the BSODs were too frequent to really do anything about them.So, I reinstalled windows 7 RC. But the BSODs have continued even after reinstallaion but they are not so frequent now, so I have been able to find out more info.

heres what even viewer says:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000012e (0x849541d0, 0x84a17d48, 0x02b20401, 0x000203ff). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 062509-11328-01.

mind you the windows 7 RC installation was working flawlessly for months before these BSODs.

I tried googling but there was nothing relevant regarding my particular problem.Thanks in advance!

My guess based on past experience is that it will be either a ram or power supply problem. when i have come across these type of things in previous versions of windows one of the two is nearly always to blame.

try swapping out and testing if you can.

I'm having a similar problem with build 7077. Keeps bluescreening some minutes after booting. Here is the BSOD message (same as lemmings'):

Like lemmings, ever since installing the Win7 I never had any problems. All of the sudden, I start getting BSODs after 5-10 minutes.

I have a Quad Core computer Q8200, MSI P45 NEO3-FR motherboard, 2GB DDR2 memory card (tested with Windows Memory Diagnostics, no fault), NVidia GeForce 9800GTX+, 1TB SATA2 Samsung HDD, and everything powered by a Coolermaster 650W PSU (more than enough, IMHO).
Every driver is up-to-date, and the BIOS is the lastest avaliable (v1.8).

I also have Debian Linux Squeeze instaled in a different partition, with the nvidia drivers installed, but I never got a "kernel panic" using it.

Any help will be much apreciated. Thanks!

First thing you could do is to go into C:\windows\minidump and find the dmp fie and upload it to us.

Let us know if you need help to do that

Indeed, there are five dump files there. I'm posting the most recent one, fresh from one hour ago!

More info: I've found that the BSODs happens minutes after I start uTorrent. Searching the net I've found that several people are also having the same problem (Windows 7 + uTorrent).
I guess this probably means that there is a faulty driver somewere, as uTorrent can't cause, by itself, a BSOD, since it runs on user space.

I've been using uTorrent since I've installed Win7, and never got any BSODs until some days ago, after I updated it.

It could be a bug concerning uTorrent and the RC...have you tried a build after the RC to see if the issue persists?

I am using uTorrent on the RTM and it hasn't blue-screened for me

Yes, in fact I'm downloading RTM also now to check if this is the case... I will post back if it helps...

But I'm intrigued by how starting uTorrent crashes the whole OS! Just checked it, and happens every time. It has to be a driver/kernel bug...

When I update Win7 I'll post back. Thanks!

Maybe because of utorrent accessing teredo on the OS...maybe that part is corrupted...either that or Win 7 can't use your ethernet card well
