Solved What is Digital River

So I last night I heard someone talk about Windows 7 Digital River. I have never heard of it before. I know its links to download Windows 7 but what is the point of it. I found a link that lets you download them but still don't understand what they are for.

Okay but is it still legal or illegal to download the iso if found? From Dell's website?

You can legally download the ISO from Digital River or Dell. However, you have to have a legit key in order to use that software.

I found Digital river useful as my original Windows 7 disk is pre service pack.

I downloaded the service pack 1 version and put it on disk, it's saved me a fair amount of updates the few times I have reinstalled windows.
