im user directly moved to win 7 from xp so i was not a member in vista forums

as i was new to these forums no badge jump over for me!!!

yeah in that case shawn gave me power user badge much earlier
than required rep of 300+ rep points!!!

I have been thankful to the ADMINS as well...they gave me Seven Guru and Seven Pro without me fulfilling the times on the forum requirement...Seven Guru requires you to be on the Forum 60 days

i had the opposite happen to me....
i started as a small member here (ironically with a problem which i solved by myself, that was in Nov..) and little by i started jumping the ranks (i may have bribed my superiors with cake...)
along the way z3 pushed me up too until i became a a SF member...
then i joined up vistax64 where i was upped to Vista pro and eventually to Guru

Also I started here and climbed the ranks too...I have only been here for about a month and a week or two...so I felt I have done pretty well

Having belonged to many forums over the years I say with great confidence that a forum is only as good as as its members make it. Well, having great moderators helps too. And SevenForums is up in the top tier by any standards.
