Why? The only step given using Hiren's bootable XP is to run Disk Check. Did you even run it? What did it find?
Boot the Win7 installer, proceed with Custom install, use Drive Options to delete any partitions, create new and format as shown in Step 8 in Clean Install Windows 7
Im going to re-run the disk check and post exactly what it says, because it looked like it worked so i went with it,
