Monitor won't turn on after turning off, SSD failure?

Hello, my monitor won't turn on after it turns off automactially (I set this to 5 minutes in windows). I've disabled sleep mode and all that jazz. I suspect it might be an ssd problem because when it won't turn on there is minimal activity with the hard disc LED light.

I've also disabled sleep, hybrid sleep and the page file thingie. I just want it to turn off my monitor, not put my computer to sleep.

Why are you disabling Paging file? It is needed and should be set to System managed.

Sleep, Hybrid sleep and Hibernate are modern features that allow you to walk away without concern about turning off your computer and/or saving your work. If you come back in a day or a month your work is still waiting for you on the desktop, having gone to sleep waitin for you to return soon to tap Enter to wake it, or timed out to write what's in RAM to HD to shut down but resume twice as fast next time you start in with Hibernate. It's silly to turn it off like this is a suspiciously modern feature in some XPired OS.

Set your Display time out to a more reasonable 20 minutes, then update your Display driver to see that all the power options work correctly.

I've re-enabled page files.
I really do not care about sleep, hybrid or hibernate. I just want it to turn off my monitor. I've set Never or disabled these settings, but they just won't turn on after my monitor has turned off. and it's 5 minutes because I rarely leave my computer, and when I do I'm sure I won't be back for awhile. So 5 minutes is fine for me.

If updating the Display driver doesn't solve it look at the menus on the monitor itself to see if they can help.

If not try changing the monitor to see if the problem persists, then you'll know if it's the monitor or a driver or other issue.

I've been using these 2 monitors since my previous setup, worked fine. So I think it's not the monitors.

I've already updated my ATI Catalyst centre to the latest, and I've just took out all the components and re-assembled them. Hope it works.

Just curious, if you temporarily enable sleep and set it to a minimum time and have turn off monitor set to slightly higher than that, does it work?

Sorry guys, it's still a no go. Could it be my OS's problem? I've been having problems with this windows 7 sp1 build compared to my old non SP1 build?

Why ask for help if you won't follow the steps?

If your monitor is not waking then try another monitor - each of them plugged in alone to see if the issue is dependent upon the Dual setup or either single monitor.

Not trying to be an ass, but I've stated that this monitor WORKS WITH MY PREVIOUS SETUP, and my SSD LED stops blinking. I doubt it's my monitor.

Yeah just a FYI, I fixed it. Not hardware problem, it's the SP1 problem. I download the 2009 version (before sp1) and it works.

Sell the monitor and buy one that won't mess up with SP1. Best of both worlds as they say.

You don't have Win7 if you don't have SP1.
