I dont know how to get the screen shot in this message box so it is attached as a paint file. The best I ever had was 29 seconds but that was with some services shut down that I needed. I'lcontinue to tweak .

Restart times can vary for me. The best I ever had was 27 seconds, and 15 seconds on BootRacer. As someone else said, it may just depend on what "mood" your computer is in! But I think Puran's Boot Time defrag and setting the Win7 fonts to "Hide" made a significant improvement.

with my hdd i used to get 49 second restart and its slightly better with the ssd so im happy
first is with these startups, nod32, mbam, aida64 and mouse n keyboard software plus display fusion
second is without them all except av

Well, here's something interesting...
If I don't have any restore points in System Restore, my restart times (using the VBS-script timer) are under 30 seconds, going as low as 24 seconds! But if I add just one restore point, my times become slower, with 36 seconds being the average. Anyone else experience this same "phenomenon"?

Hi everybody!
Here is my restart time on my Asus G74SX-TZ081V :

- win 7 x64 Home Premium
- i7 2630qm - 2.0/2.9 ghz
- 12gb ram ddr3 1333mhz
- nvidia gtz 560m 3gb gddr5
- 500gb hdd 7200 rpm (x2)
(automatic log on at startup)

did a little bit tweak on my services (between viper's safe and tweaked)

i still have a lot of bloatware crap on my pc and have a huge list of useless stuff on startup like bluetooth stuff, sidebar with 4 gadgets and other crap.

when i finish tweaking my pc, i'll post back the result to compare!

I saw your specs earlier. Correct me if I'm wrong, are you using 32 bit with 16 gb ram?

Thanks for the tip!!! I've been through the entire win7 definitive user guide, and no mention of that key...

I find that shortcut very useful as it's easier than the snipping tool and produces better quality shots as the snipping tool always compresses the file so much

Took a couple startup items off no Tweaking i'm sure i Could get much faster without a SSD but still this is pretty decent for how old this hard drive is =)

-Just a side note I'm running in IDE Mode because AHCI seems to make me crash 5.8 On the Hard drive WEI Score though!

AHCI : Enable in Windows 7 after OS install
