Most Likely looks like you are having a hardware problem.

Please try this:

BugCheck 0x124

You have a 0x124 hardware bugcheck. If the system is still under warranty, I would recommend sending it in to have diagnostic tests done and any bad hardware replaced.

   Warning
Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. :warn:WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!

For your hardware stop 0x124 crash, read through http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html and use the following hardware checks to supplement that link.

  • If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.

  • If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:
    • SSD firmware
    • BIOS Version
    • Chipset Drivers
    • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
    • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

  • Run all but the advanced tests with SeaTools for HDDs.
  • Monitor temperatures during the following tests.
Use the following programs to monitor the temperatures.

  • Run the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).

For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
    1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
    2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
    3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
    4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.
Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

I'm running on safe mode but when i get out of safe mode it gives me the BSOD, it might be the hard drive. Anyway to know specifically from the error code?

hmnnn it might be an over heating issue, when i turn off my AC it shoots up to like 90 in my room mostly because of the comp and TV. I went and cleaned the fans and it has not given me an error. It's around 40s in speccy and the HDD are in the 30s, also the Seagate tool for windows is not giving me any error when i run the tests.... hoping that's the last of it.

okay, so I put on Tropico 4, started playing a little and noticed my GPU and Motherboard rose up to 59ish degrees! One of my fans is probably not working. I can only imagine what a game like Crysis or Shogun 2 would do to it. Hoping that's the problem

Did you install the new Nvidia and Intel drivers that HonorGamer suggested?
If it's running ok in safe mode and crashing when running normally, that indicates a driver issue.
This BSoD code can result from the CPU overheating.

59°C is good for your GPU but hot for your motherboard.

Open your case when the computer is on and check if the fans are running.

I am seriously thinking its over heating, It usually happens after I play a game, I just turned Shogun 2 for a test run and my MOBO apparently got up to 70C , all the fans are working fine. I even added a new one, i just ordered another fan from newegg hopefully it works. Also my computer just shut off without even the BSOD it just shut off in the middle of the game.

Also to the other posted I build the computer myself.....

If overclocking or using some "overdrive" software, then cease and desist.

Keep cover off of computer.

Direct a strong desktop/table/floor fan at the computer.

Next go to the mobo manufacturer's website and update your bios, chipset driver, and other drivers.

okay i took the screenshots! They both say different things for the MOBO though :huh::huh:

I would also like to point out that I have had my computer on for the past day and no problems at all, no freeze ups or anything. It seems to happen right after i play a game or when I am playing a game :mad::mad:

You can always expect minor variations as temps to fluctuate and even running a program increases temps.

What you want to do is keep an eye on your temps as you play a game. Just take a peak at tihem.

tried this, didn't work. I'm still hovering around 45 idle. I am almost positive its a heating or power supply error. My computer is shutting off now, without a BSOD when i play a game. It's really depressing. It have never had this happen to me before.

edit: according to speccy, my MOBO runs hotter than my CPU and Video card, is that normal?
