Except if there is a leak in the WC setup, then sleeping on it doesn't do much :D

I thought water cooling didn't leak.:D

@Alan, been there done that and you are right. Sometimes the best and the hardest thing to do is walk away. But, if you can give your brain a rest for a few hours, sometimes when you come back the problem becomes real obvious and simple to fix. Something you never saw before.

I personally don't like that combination with CM V8 and Noctua fans. Will be good to leave that V8 alone, or install DH-N14. ;)

Don't worry it's just temporary for now. If I do stick with air cooling, it will be the DH-N14 but I'm not sure if it'll fit in my tiny case so I might get the H80.
Really wanna upgrade to the NZXT Phantom but then there's upgrading my graphics card and CPU cooler which I would do all at the same time so each thing isn't just sitting in a corner. I've been finding great deals on Noctua fans through eBay and Amazon so I've just been snatching them up which is why I have them set up like that on the V8. Might as well put them to use somehow.

If you plan on OC'ing and wringing every possible MHz out of it, running it at 100% CPU usage 24/7. Then the H100 would be a better choice of the two.

OC'ing with normal use, then the H80 is a good cooler, and won't need a bigger case.

If your getting a new case anyway and can't decide between the two, just go with the H100 ;)

Nice rig, one question, why did you use cable ties on the one fan on the cpu cooler?

The Cooler Master V8 was only built for one fan, the middle one in between the heatsink. I just added the one fan and the bottom fan that blows upwards into the heatsink as an addition so using zip ties were my only "temporary" choice.

H80 will perform very close to the H100. It boils down to space if you have it then H100 away but please add 4 quality fans of face noise levels like you've never heard before. Noc's it appears will your fan of choice so your good.

I would need 4 fans with the H100? or are you talking about a push/pull configuration with the 240mm radiator?

H80 with Noctua's; you guys think that would work just as well as an H100 with Noctua's and I wouldn't have a need to get a new case?

If you plan on OC'ing and wringing every possible MHz out of it, running it at 100% CPU usage 24/7. Then the H100 would be a better choice of the two.

If your getting a new case anyway and can't decide between the two, just go with the H100 ;)

Now that I'm messing around with my case configuration more after 2 1/2 years of having it, I'm thinking I can make it work with just an H80 with the two NF-F12 blowing air into the case and using the two other NF-S12B's as extra air circulators somewhere in the case or to replace the 200mm top exhaust fan.

Does anyone know if the Noctua's (the NF-P12 and NF-S12B combined) be quieter than the stock 200mm fan?

Sweet! My girlfriend already thinks I'm crazy after buying Noctua fans, I wonder what she'll think after I show her my current set up and after I replace the top 200mm with even more Noctua's

Yes the Noc NF P12 are alot quieter than the stock Corsair fans, they are noisy.

The Corsair fans sound like you are standing next to a 747. But, they do put out a lot of air, but I couldn't stand the noise so I used the NF-P12 on the H100. But, the NH-D14 does a better job than the H100.

The new Corsair series fans look very nice and I understand they are quiet but as I already have a case of Noc's I'm good but for the money and color the Corsair's are an excellent choice as well. Corsair does a good job with every thing they get into. Still I'd be surprised if they had all the quality of the Noc's for half the price.
