Solved how do i install windows in partition without loosing my files

is there a solution in this problem
i got only one partition created (C which is total of 250gb and free is 145gb
how do i install windows 7 without reformatting/loosing my files there

i cannot create another partition like using partition wizard cause i got surface errors
which prevents me from creating new partition

you can't do that. I suggest you back up all of your files to an external drive or some device, format the partition and reinstall w7. Now you can copy back your files from back up.
Why do you want to reinstall?

Do not FORMAT when you install Windows, just tell it to do a "Custom" install and pick the correct partition to install to WITHOUT FORMATTING. The installer will move the old installation to Windows.old along with your files. You can then move your files you want to keep back to their original location.

I personally install Windows like this all the time.

You want your files backed up at all times, especially with HD problems that may mean it will fail at any time.

Clean and sort your files into the User folders, then drag them to DVD, external HD, another computer on the network, or upload up to 7g to Skydrive free storage with each Windows Live ID.

Then run the HD maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan to check it's condition and possibly repair it. Follow this with Disk Check with both boxes checked for repair.

Once this is done you can post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Management drive map with all listings columns displayed, tell us what is on each partition and what you'd like to do, and we will give you the steps.

No, and windows.old is not a backup solution. It can fail and you'll lose your files. Back them up first!

Have you tried ANY of the suggestions?
Especially do the HD diagnostics and chkdsk Greg put forth first. If you have a bad drive, no reinstalling will be of any use at all. If you don't backup NOW, you will lose your files.

ok ill give it a try... but there is no soulution if the bad sector is a physical damage in drive right i have to replace the hdd??
