.I have tried several different shells and shell enhancers. Object Desktop, HoverDesk, LiteStep et cetera. I always come back to the Windows Classic theme. Not for a lack of horsepower, but for usability. ObjectDock Plus and Fences have found a home in my installed apps, but I don't usually launch them. Fences when I'm doing a lot of research - it helps to "stack papers" on the desktop.Yeah, very cool but inefficient and unergonomic IMNSHO . After trying a bunch of free launchers I ended up paying for True Launch Bar. Works great for me - 90+ apps one click away though 7 taskbar icons. Plus all my cpus & drives graphed. I miss the functionality of the context menu in XP32. I had a tower of commands available.
i am looking for simple 3D effects organized by windows.
look at Ubuntu 9.04 3D effects videos at youtube.
i think that effects not alter the efficacy of Ubuntu.
i am wondering if some 3D simple effects will make windows inefficient....
